MOONSTONE (See products)
The moonstone is a gem of the family of feldspars. It has a milky appearance, can be colorless or of a pale yellow color with a bluish highlights (lunar). Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it displays adularescence; in other words, there is a noticeable shimmering effect beneath its surface. It is usually cut in cabochon. The main deposits are in Sri Lanka, Burma, Brazil, the United States, India and Madagascar.
