Making charms

Step 1
Insert a bead on a 16mm head pin. Using chain nose pliers, fold at a 90 degree angle the head pin, as illustrated.

To avoid having loops that are too big, cut 2 to 3 mm of the metal head pin before making the loop.

Step 2
Using round nose pliers hold the tip of the head pin and twist it towards the bead to make a loop.

ou’ll need 16 charms to make these earrings.

Making chain pendants

Step 3
Measure and cut 6 cm of chain and open the loop of 4 charms using chain nose pliers. Insert a charm in the 2nd link of the chain segment. Close the loop of the charm.

Step 4
Insert 3 other charms, as illustrated.

Step 5
To make the 2nd chain pendant, measure and cut 4.5 cm of chain. Place 2 charms as illustrated below.

Step 6
To make the 3rd chain pendant, measure and cut 3 cm of chain. Place a charm in the last link, as illustrated.

Finishing touch

Step 7
Using two chain nose pliers, open a 6 mm ring and insert it in the 1st link of the 6 cm chain pendants.

Step 8
Then, insert the 4.5 cm chain pendant, the 3 cm one and a charm, as illustrated.

Step 9
Insert the ring in the loop of the earring hook and close the ring.

Step 10
Repeat all these steps to make the second earring. In order for the two earrings to be symmetrical, do not forget to reverse the order of the pendants inserted on the ring.
