Making charms
Step 1
Measure and cut 17 cm of nylon coated steel wire (Tiger tail).
Step 2A
String a crimp bead on the wire and place it at 7,5 cm of one of the ends. Using standard crimping bead pliers, crush the bead in the deepest part of the pliers’ jaw. You will then obtain a half-moon shape
Step 2B
Slide the same crimp bead in the other part of the pliers’ jaw as illustrated above. Then, crush it again to close the half-moon on itself.
Step 3
Place a 3 mm crimp bead cover on the crimp bead then close it using mighty crimping bead pliers, Once closed, the crimp bead cover has a similar shape as that of a round bead.
Step 4
String a series of three beads on the longest section of the string followed by another crimp bead of 2 mm. Repeat steps 2 to 3 to keep the series of bead in place.
Step 5
On a section of string measuring 12.5 cm, place a crimp bead at about 2 mm to 5.5 cm from one end and use a crimp bead cover to hide it. String another series of three beads on the longest section of the string then follow with another 2 mm crimp bead.
Step 6
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to keep the sequence of beads in place.
Step 7
Make two loops with the string segments by joining both ends. Place the smallest segment in the center.
Step 8
Insert the ends in a bead tip then in a crimp bead of 2.5 mm, as illustrated. Place the crimp bead at 1.5 cm of the loop’s tips.
Step 9
By pulling on the strings, adjust the loops so as for them to be centered. Crush the crimp beads using the mighty crimping bead pliers then cut any excess strings.
Step 10
Using chain nose pliers, close the bead tip on the crimp bead.
Step 11
Using chain nose pliers, open the loop of an earring hook, insert it in the loop of the bead tip then close the loop of the earring hook.
Repeat all of these steps to make the second earring.
